I worked this poncho sideways in a knit mesh stitch in alternating stripes of blue and variegated ribbon yarns. To better tie together the two ribbons, I stranded along the thin copper eyelash yarn throughout. The poncho includes a bit of short row shaping to ensure that the neck is narrow enough to stay on and the bottom edge swings out enough to allow arm movement.
